Musical Areas of Expertise

Music Production

What makes an amazing recording?

A memorable, melodic song with a unique message, captured in the best possible technological way at the time, by a talented group of musicians & audio engineers, all directed under the guidance of an expert producer.

I’ll help you dream big, establish a realistic budget & timeline, bring all aspects together, and direct the project to reach it's ultimate vision.

My responsibilities will include: analyzing the musical and lyrical aspects of the material, determining the appropriate arrangement and instrumental choices, managing all aspects and people involved throughout the process, finding and booking the talent, finding and booking a recording studio, making technological decisions and determinations, creating an environment that will bring your performance to a new level, choosing the best performance takes, and working with the engineers to bring the final product to the best possible place. And finally, lets have some fun, we’re making music!

Let’s connect and see if my musical taste, experience, expertise, opinions, and guidance are a great match for you.

Songwriting

Many years of Songwriting Experience. Two albums, "Truth that Lies" and "Let it Breathe" available in online digital marketplaces. I also have many unpublished songs in my catalog. Contact Bill for future licensing, commissions, and collaborations.

A great melody is what can set your song apart from others. Have some lyrics but no musical ability? Have a song, but it isn't really grabbing anyone's attention? Let's talk, maybe I can help you or we can collaborate and bring your composition or song to the next level.

Vocals

Some of my earliest memories in life are singing. When I was little, my sister and her friend used to put headphones on me, put on a Billy Joel record, turn the main speakers off, and just listen to me sing. Just for the fun of it!

I've had extensive training and experiences as a vocalist. From numerous traditional Choirs, All State Choir, Honor Choir, Swing Choirs, Jazz Groups, and Musical Productions to Cover Bands, Variety Shows, Recording music ensembles, recitals to live club venues and recording studios. Check out my music and see if my lead vocal sound & style, can deliver the edge and quality your recording or showcase needs. Or, hire me to add layers of background vocals to your projects.

Guitar

I'm no Scofield or Clapton, but I can perform a tight rhythm part. I love my acoustic guitar most, but can still lay down a solid electric guitar track. Pop, Rock, Singer/Songwriter, & Adult Contemporary are my style specialties.

Drum & Virtual Instrument Programming

On a budget and need some killer djembe parts? Or, perhaps you don't have the budget or time to find and record a real string quartet? No problem, I can program just about any instrument or sound you can imagine. I have an extensive library of samples and virtual instruments.

Identifying & Recognizing Musical Talent

"Wow can she sing! What a voice! That drummer's timing and feel is ridiculous! Listen to how tight that band is..the bass player is such a bad-ass, he's locking them all together in a tight groove. That solo was killer! Now that's a great song, amazing melody, provocative lyrics, interesting chord progression, I love it!"

These are all things I find myself saying when I'm having a thrilling musical experience. I personally believe it's the heart of what a good music producer or old-school A & R person should be. Let's find a way to reduce the enormous database of music on the internet, down our favorite musical discoveries. Let's send each other our favorites, see if we have similar tastes, and talk about the music, artists, and musicians we love, admire, and strive to be.
