It would be really rare to find a technical problem that I can't solve.
My tech expertise is in the areas of Audio, Video, or Computers. My favorite problem-solving story comes from a video production I was once on. The room we were given to film in had a horrifically loud air conditioning noise in it, and this was back in the days before we had audio cleanup plugins on our computers. I said, "We have to get that AC turned off if were going to film in this room." There were no other rooms available, and the AC could not be shut off because it would shut it off for the entire building. The producer looked at me and said, "What are we going to do? What can we do?...Short of cancelling the shoot.." I thought long and hard, and suddenly had an idea. What if I can trick the thermostat in the room into thinking it's cooler than it is. So I gaffer tapped 2 cold cans of soda over the top of the thermostat. And sure enough, a minute later, the AC shut off, and we were able to have a successful shoot. I'm exactly the type of person you want to have around when you run into challenges/problems. It can mean the difference between meeting expectations and delivering or failing and having to cancel your shoot.

It's a very specialized sort of skill to know that if you go to that eccentric little setting in the tiny menu you didn't know existed, all the sudden, now my DAW can record audio again! I've had several years experience working at the famous Right Track Recording Studios as an assistant technician. I've also had over 20 years of experience supporting numerous composers in their project studios. I specialize in MAC recording systems running MOTU Digital Performer and all virtual instruments and plugins.
Editing - Video, Audio, & Photos
Countless, endless, meticulous hours spent, lining up every kick drum hit with every bass note played. Editing, while perhaps a bit of a mindless task, is something I can do, and I do it well. I've also spent endless hours editing in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro and Photoshop.
